Day 346, January 30th

Happy birthday, Ryan!!!!!

It's Ryan's first birthday as a married man so I had to show how awesome birthdays would be from here on out! When we woke up, the children gave Ryan his gift, a shirt, Gus of course wanted all the credit for the gift, but Max helped pick it out as well.  I made breakfast and then we pretty much just spent the day lounging around.  Max and Gus both showed love to Ryan, which I was slightly jealous of, but also glad to see my boys all together.

After lunch, I made some cupcakes, and let Ryan open his birthday present. Over the summer we went to the All Star game, and saw this giant book that had everything you ever wanted to know about baseball inside!! I was going to get it for Ryan for Christmas, but then we bought the tv and limited Christmas, so bam, he got it for his birthday! I think he was genuinely surprised by the gift, which is always may goal!! He read through the book, ate some cupcakes and got wrapped up in a TI and Tiny marathon on VH1...
For dinner, we pulled ourselves away from The Family Hustle, and headed to North, one of our favorite Fox Restaurants. After our delicious meal, we had the idea to head over to Oregano's for dessert.  This smart idea quickly turned into the worst idea ever...When we arrived, we were seated and I ran to the restroom and by the time I came back, Ryan had ordered our half chocolate chip half white macadamia nut pizza cookie.  After 30 minutes, I asked our waiter where the heck our cookie was, to which he dumbly responded it was coming...well needless to say another 10 minutes later we finally got our cookie...yes, almost an hour of sitting there!! I touched my spoon to the cookie and it was RAW! Ugh, so we told the manager, who told me they'd make us a new one but wanted me to know that that's how they are usually served. She messed with the wrong gal and I snapped at her and told her I have ordered them several times and that was NOT the way they were served.  What a hassle, and a terrible way to end Ryan's birthday!! 10 minutes later, a cooked pizza cookie came out, weird since it took the raw one 40 minutes to cook, we ate the deliciousness and then we walked out the door, never to look back. I suppose the free dessert was nice, but not worth the trouble, since we probably could have got a free dessert anywhere for Ryan's birthday!!  Not cool Oregano's...

Day 345, January 29th

Back to reality for us!! We drove back to America on Sunday, and created our intense laundry piles and got to work.  Tomorrow is also Ryan's birthday, so I headed to Mike and Mary's house to pick up his gift, it was delivered when we were out of town, and wrapped that present right up!
Gus loves to wrap presents! Christmas is his favorite time, but any time there is a celebration, he always jumps in to help get that gift wrapped!!  After birthday celebrations were ready for the morning, we just hung around, enjoying Ryan's last day of 27!

Day 344, January 28th

Saturday morning we ate some breakfast and took a nice long walk on the beach. Nice little exercise and chat time!! Then we basically just chilled to the max the rest of the day.  Did a little shopping, a little eating, a little drinking and even a little bit more sleeping.
As the sun started to set, we headed to Wrecked at the Reef to meet up with Nate and Paula for dinner before The Peacemakers concert at JJ's.  Ryan and I hadn't been to Wrecked before, but it is a pretty happening spot.  The food was yummy and it was right on the beach, a place we will start frequenting from here on out!
After dinner, we drove out to JJ's for the concert.  We were having a few beers in the parking lot before the concert started and while we were sitting there, low and behold Roger and the rest of the band pulled up and headed in!! It was exciting, and also our cue to get inside for the show!!

The concert was obviously amazing, per usual.  I think the JJ show is my favorite, it's sort of like sitting on your back patio with a band playing for you. After intermission we lost Nate and Paula in the crowd...Paula's fun level was met...so we wandered closer, ran into our usual Roger Crew and spent the rest of the night singing and rockin!

Day 343, January 27th

Friday morning, Ryan and I woke up and hit the road for Mexico.  I am really starting to love escaping to Mexico the weekend after an event.  It's perfect since our cell phones don't work, there is no distractions and it's just lovely.
We got in to town early afternoon, had lunch at Flavio's and then honestly, we took a nap!!
After our nap, we got up and got out! We headed to Chango's for dinner and drinks and had a nice relaxing night.  There was this group of drunk older gents who were having quite a good time dancing with some nice younger gals.  It was a calm nice little first night of our weekend getaway!

Day 342, January 26th

Thursday was our last day of work before we headed to Mexico for the weekend.  Mexico the weekend after a JDRF event has become a tradition in our house.
After work, I went to get my haircut, then headed home to watch another installment of our Rocky marathon.  We were on Rocky III, so we settled in to watch.  Instantly, I was asleep, totally passed out.  Obviously the gala weekend along with my week of car drama caught up with me!!
I slept until Ryan finally came and got me to take me to bed.  My biggest concern was that we didn't take a photo, and seriously with 23 days left, it would be sad to miss a photo now!! Luckily, Ryan snapped a self photo of him packing up for our weekend getaway while I slept through it all.

Day 341, January 25th

So I spent my lunch hour on Wednesday trying to get Lolla in tip top shape.  I found Mad Hatter Mufflers & Brakes thanks to an old friend, and they told me they could fix Lolla up for a small cost. We headed over there, got fixed up, then immediately headed back to emissions where I'm happy to report we passed!! It was a stressful couple of days, but glad to be safely back on the road.  It's times like these I wish I had a new car, but then I think that really I just spent a car payment to fix her up and now we're good to go, so I quickly get over that desire.

Day 340, January 24th

Tuesday was a pretty hectic day.  Ryan and I are going to Mexico this weekend, and out of the two cars, mine runs best.  Well, anyway, I needed to get my emissions done before the end of January, and my check engine light has been on for probably about a year.  Car people, don't get on me about that, it was running fine.  Anyway, as it turns out, I needed a new Catalytic Converter, which, yes, made me fail my emissions test...talk about embarrassing.
Well, so as my mechanic told me it would cost me $2000 I had a mini meltdown, called my mom, who helped me find a place that did used catalytic converters.  As I wasn't totally out of the woods yet, I stressed all night, per usual for me, wondering why Lolla would turn on me after all our years together.  Even though I stressed all night long, our children did not.  As I went on and on about my car, these two didn't seem to have a care in the world...sometimes I wish I was a cat.

Day 339, January 23rd

On Monday, we unloaded all the stuff from the Uhaul from over the weekend, I got back to my real job of Kids Walk stuff and all in all had a pretty relaxed Monday after an event.
After work, I called up Julia to catch her up on how The Promise Ball went, since she used to work directly on the event.  It has been about a month since I've seen Julia, and since we went from talking every day at work, to not seeing each other, we spent hours catching up on everything.  Poor Ryan even came home, made us dinner, we ate, all the while I still chatted!  We finally felt we were properly caught up, and Ryan and I jumped back on the Rocky train, as Ryan finally realizes what he was missing out on!!

Day 338, January 22nd

Sunday, we slept in a little later, enjoyed some movie in the comfy Phoenician bed and eventually got up, took the Uhaul back to the office, and headed home.  We had a relatively lazy day, laundry, cat snuggling, the important stuff.
That night, we headed out to Il Posto to celebrate Sara's belated birthday.
It was nice to know the craziness of work was behind me and to spend a lovely night with our wacky family!!

Day 337, January 21st

Saturday, the event was finally here, The Promise Ball.  Ryan and I got up bright and early and headed to The Phoenician for set up.  Since I was managing the Volunteers this year, I was there and passing out orders when the sun came up!
We spent the day setting up the Silent Auction area, placing things on the tables and overall, ensuring everything was set for the evening.  Ryan did all the manly projects while I spent lots of time sticking letters on things.  When Ryan was no longer needed, he headed up to get his suit jacket tailored...so fancy!!
Once we were all set up, we had a bit of time to head up to our rooms, get dressed and ready for the night.  Ryan and I ordered food, scarfed that down and then got ready for the big night.  Once the event began, I worked to make sure all the volunteers were doing what they were assigned to do and then got roped into running the Live Auction Powerpoint which was stressful!  All in all, it was another successful Promise Ball.  Bret Michaels was the main attraction, although I still am not sure about all that fuss, but he was loved and it boost the Live Auction for sure!!
Once the "main event" was over, there was a small reception for VIPs which quickly turned into a good majority of the staff just hanging out. I never understand what it is about this event that makes the staff feel like they are guests over staff members.  As myself, Ryan and a few of the working staff tore down the ballroom, cleaned up everything and packed the Uhaul we finally got everything finished before someone moved the Uhaul keys and we thought they were lost!! They weren't, but it was a lovely panic moment for myself for a few minutes.
After the event we all headed upstairs for some snacks and drinks and I had one of those out of body moments where I realized I just didn't fit here anymore! I remember the first gala I worked, and everyone met for dinner and drinks after and it felt genuine, now it all is starting to feel a little forced.  Meh...life.

Shout out to Elise for not selling the bridesmaid dress for our wedding so I could borrow it for the night! :)

Day 336, January 20th

Friday I woke up early and headed to Apace Junction for a Kids Walk.  I love going out to Kids Walk especially ones super far away because it's so crazy to me that people actually are living in "Phoenix" but don't actually go to Phoenix!
We rocked out to tunes, walked a few miles in the name of Diabetes awareness, and then I said goodbye. Lots to do back at the office since tomorrow is The Promise Ball.

Spent most of the day working on the power points for the ballroom and hauling stuff to the site.  It was a long day, but good to know the event is here tomorrow!

Day 335, January 19th

Thursday night I worked all day, got home late to Ryan making some dinner and our kids looking overly jealous of our human food.  I checked and realized alas, they had almost no food left.  I hopped in the car, headed to Petsmart, got them some food, almost adopted an adorable kitty, then headed back home.
I told Gus if he was hungry he could get his food, but he wasn't having any of that, so instead he just gave me that loving look and I gave into his needs! :) They ate dinner, we ate dinner and that was our exciting Thursday night!

Day 334, January 18th

JDRF has been lucky enough to have a partnership with Ford, and in turn has had a car auctioned off at The Barrett Jackson the last few years.  Again this year we'd have a car up for auction, but along with that, we also had a car auctioned off at Adesa the week before Barrett Jackson.  I met up with Jenna at Adesa along with our Ford Rep and the adorable type 1 kiddo, Davis Wednesday morning to auction off a car for JDRF.
I have always wanted to go to a car auction, see if I could get a deal on a nice car or something! Well it was very exciting and very intense! I was taking photos during the auction but was so afraid to raise my hand too much as to not signal that I was interested in the car because that would have been quite the awkward situation.  Fret not, the car sold, I didn't make any awkward blunders, and all in all it was a great event!
The rest of the day was spent slaving away to The Promise Ball.  Only few days left!!

Day 333, January 17th

Tuesday night, we decided we needed some comfort from our favorite Aunt...Chilada. Haha
Home late from work, and too lazy to cook, we headed out to eat and chat about our days.  Pretty simple Tuesday in our life.

Day 332, January 16th

This week is Gala week, so pretty much can't say when I will actually get home on any given night.  I told Ryan I wanted to go to the gym when I did get home, so when I finally rolled in the door this is what I saw.  So sweet, he had everything out and ready for me.  He probably also did this knowing I'd most likely change my mind about the gym, but wouldn't if the clothes were already out.  Tricky son of a gun.

Day 331, January 15th

Sunday, Ryan and I had Ann, my mom and Rick over for dinner to celebrate Rick's birthday. We spent most of the day cooking, but I did duck out for awhile.  On New Year's Day this year, my friend from High School's little baby passed away in her sleep.  So sad to watch a family have to deal with something like that.  Rachel and I headed over to our friend's house to help him say goodbye.  They did a beautiful balloon release, and it was nice to see everyone for awhile.
After that, I headed back home to get dinner ready. Ann sent this recipe for Chicken in a Pinot Noir sauce so we made that along with popovers, that didn't actually since I used wheat flour, darn me trying to be healthy!!
Gus and Max were so happy to see Rick, Gus is always a social dude, but it was weird to see Max joining in on the fun.  All in all it was a nice day and I think Rick enjoyed his birthday celebration with us.

Day 330, January 14th

Saturday morning, I headed out early to work the Volunteer Training at The Phoenician.  This year I was in charge of the Gala Volunteers so that was exciting, I did that my first year working at JDRF, so it was nice to go back and do it again.  One of the volunteers said I looked like I was from the midwest...I was insulted, but not sure why.  Luckily I was hanging with one of my many midwest friends that afternoon, and she eased my fears.
When I was done with work, I headed home, got ready and then Ryan and I headed out to meet up with Tommy, Kristen and Elise at the Food Truck Festival. I had been pretty excited about going to this all week, and when we got there, this guy offered us discounted tickets so that was even cooler.  Then we got into the event, and saw why that man probably left and gave us his tickets.  There were lines everywhere!! Every truck probably had about an hour wait, we split up, waited the hour, finally got to the truck only to find that they had run out of almost everything.  Disappointing to say the least.  We ate, Ryan and Tommy rode the giant slide and then we said goodbye to the Food Truck Fest.
After the Food Truck Festival, we headed up to Tilted Kilt to meet Heather and Alex to watch the Patriots game. We stopped at Target on our way there, and Ryan made an outfit switcharoo, and then we had a nice evening with G4.  Patriots won, as you all know since they made it to the Superbowl this year.

Day 329, January 13th

On Friday when we got home from work, we decided to cozy up and watch Rocky II! Ryan got pretty hooked last night, so it was nice to be able to continue on.  We made some delicious pizza, opened a bottle of wine, and watched Rocky and Apollo duke it out one more time!

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

Day 328, January 12th

Although I do love Ryan unconditionally, I did have some doubts about marrying him when I found out that he had never seen any of the Rocky movies! I mean, I'm a girl and I've seen them!! I finally had enough embarrasment of telling people he hadn't seen any of them so I forced a Rocky marathon on our home for the weekend.  Thursday night, we ate dinner and settled in for the first movie in this wonderful series.  It was nice for me too since I haven't watched the Rocky in quite some time.  I think Ryan really enjoyed the movie and is starting to realize what a terrible life he was leading before I saved him.

Day 327, January 11th

On Wednesday, Ryan and I had errands to run so after we got home we changed out of our fancy work clothes into regular ol clothes. I know people say that married couples often start to dress alike, but I had no idea how quick it would happen!!
I was very excited to notice that Ryan and I were basically dressed in the same outfit! Not even a year into our marriage and we're already dressing alike...too cute.

Day 326, January 10th

So for me, work is really starting to get a bit crazy...with Gala 11 days away, we've al been putting in longer hours.  When I got home from work, I went to grab the mail, per usual, then headed home to hang with the Rynator and eat dinner.
As I opened the mail I got this exciting piece of mail tell me that I made Dean's List this semester! Woohoo I said!

Thursday, April 26, 2012

Day 325, January 9th

Monday, it was business as usual.  We headed to the gym after work and then made some dinner.  Before we started planning our meals out and getting a bit fancier with our dinners, we had a nice little staple in chicken, salad and sweet potato.  Well since last month I bought seriously 20 sweet potatoes, we were closing in on time to eat them up!! So Ryan grilled up some chicken, while I tended to the salad and starch.
It was a nice relaxing evening after our sort of eventful weekend.

Day 324, January 8th

Sunday, Ryan and I hosted the AACC challenge.  This month was Chili, and being that I don't even really like chili, I knew that there was no chance I'd be victorious!!
We had seven different chilis, with white chili, chili with corn bread to more traditional, they were all pretty good for a gal who isn't a huge fan! It's very stressful voting for just one favorite.  They all had different things I liked but were all so different.
In the end AJ was announced the winner and was given the traveling trophy for his amazing efforts!!  It was nice hosting, as stressful as the before is, it's nice to not have to drive home, instead just plop down on the couch.  Gus was his usual wonderful self, entertaining everyone, while Max hid, because he's a weirdo.

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Day 323, January 7th

On Saturday, we hit the gym, the grocery store and then spent a good deal of time with household chores.  As the day was winding down Ryan suggested that since the weather was nice that we go grab a drink and some food on a patio somewhere.  He invited Brian to join us and I asked a few people if they'd like to come as well.  Lucky for me Elise's New Year resolution was to go out more, so she was basically forced to join us!!
We went to Z Tejas on Mill since it felt like decades since we had been there.  We had a fun evening of hanging out and chatting with friends.

Monday, April 23, 2012

Day 322, January 6th

The last day of Christmas! The Wise Men finally arrive.  Nothing bothers me more, besides decorating for Christmas before December, then taking Christmas down before Christmas actually ends! 12 days people!! Plus, if you have a Nativity Scene, it's not technically complete until today anyway!
Sadly,we had to take our tree down last week, as it was becoming a fire hazard, but we left the rest of Christmas up until this weekend. Since we were hosting a get together on Sunday, we figured we better get the house back to normal. Ryan was out for the evening, so I spent the night packing up all the joys of Christmas time and cleaning up!

Day 321, January 5th

I literally don't know what we did today!! This has never happened before! I think because usually the photos are a bit more representative, but this...I don't know what this is!
Obviously, whatever we did, I stopped at QT for a Diet Coke! I want to say I had a Kids Walk today, which isn't totally far fetch, so maybe I'll go with that! Either way, I'm sure another wonderful day in the life of us!!

Day 320, January 4th

Wednesday, Ryan had his Christmas party for work so I spent the night eating tamales and hanging out.  Ryan came home, looking dapper and with flowers!! I am pretty sure the flowers were for the time it was when he got home, and the obvious I've been drinking face!! Oh Ryan...

Day 319, January 3rd

Life went back to normal on Tuesday, went to work, came home...same ol thing! The best part of these few days after the Tamale Party is that I have tamales for every meal!!
After work, we got home, did our usual chat about our day, and then heated up some tamales and vegged out! After some time hanging out though, I told Ryan that as much as I liked his beard, I thought it may be getting a big out of control, so he shaved it down a bit!! Exciting stuff!

Day 318, January 2nd

Monday was our last day before we had to go back to work.  I really could get used to not working I think.  Maybe at least have one week of every month off, that would be awesome!
We hiked South Mountain in the afternoon, talked about what we wanted to do in 2012 and had a nice last day not doing too much of anything.
Look how manly Ryan's beard is!!

Day 317, January 1st

After we caught up on some sleep, Ryan and I headed west to go to a Cardinals game.  We got tickets at JDRF for our staff and walk teams, so it was a nice little treat to kick off 2012.
The seats were terrible, literally we were the furthest away that any one person can be!!! But it was a fun time non the less. I can hardly pay attention to football in the first place, but when you can barely see the ball, it's even harder to care!!  We left a little early to beat the crowd but also since we had to head to Scottsdale to retrive my car. Once we got the car, Ryan headed home and I headed to Sunflower to pick up some groceries for the week. When I got home, Tommy was there, to steal back his dog, chatted with him a bit and then that was it! A nice first day to a new year!

Day 316, December 31st

I can't believe 2011 is almost over!! We've almost been married for a whole year!! We spent the day talking about our favorite moments of 2011...we didn't really do that, but now I wish we had!
Roger was playing at the Scottsdale Block Party so we had a group going, and then of course in the end, it was just Ryan and I...well and my sister and her friend Elaine, but friend-wise I mean.
Anyway, the four of us headed to Sauce for dinner and then got into party mode! haha.  We parked our car pretty far away, but Ryan was afraid we'd get towed, so we moved it closer and just paid to park.  We had a few hours before the concert, so we tried to make it to every bar and get a drink.  One bar, had a pretty dope dj, so we spent a little too much time there before realizing Roger had started!!
The concert was good.  We ran into the usual group we see all the time since first running into them in Mexico two years ago.  We're pretty much best friends with these people, we should probably just start planning concerts together!! Ryan and I are terrible about getting pictures together, then when we do, I make lame faces while he looks nice.  Typical Sarah!
So after the concert, and after midnight, so maybe I shouldn't talk about this until the next post...all of a sudden we heard a fuse like noise, there was a big flash, and all of Old Town Scottsdale went black! Can you imagine if you had an open tab at the bar? Hello free drinks!! :) Anyway, there was a generator for the stage lights, so that at least lit the way out.  We headed to where my car was parked, and low and behold it was trapped by the power lines that had fallen!! With our car trapped, and miles from home, on probably the busiest night for cabs, we stood on the corner and waited until a cab finally picked us up!! Then, because my car was in Scottsdale, I had to have my sister drive Ryan and I all the way home! We didn't even get home until after 3!! It was a crazy end to 2011, or actually a crazy start to 2012!!!

Day 315, December 30th

Friday morning, Ryan and I hiked Camelback Mountain.  I have never done it and was actually scared I couldn't make it!! Whenever Sam stays with us we like to hike with him, so to finish off 2011 we thought we'd do something big!!
It was super crowded, lots of people in for the bowl games, but overall, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be! We had some many people in love with Sam, and he seriously acted like he hiked mountains on the regular!! Overall it took us about 2 hours to do, with lots of stops for Sam, we didn't need them of course!! There was a girl there who said it was her third time hiking and first time actually making it to the top, that made me feel good about myself, and good for her too!
After our day, Sam took a long nap and Ryan and I headed to my dad's house for the Tamale Party.  Last year's Tamale Party was hard since it was my first without Stephanie and my other friends weren't able to make it, but this year was much better! I spent the first half with Rachel and my man Asher.  Now that's he's getting older and bigger, he's not as scary to me.  Their family left early to get Asher to bed, and Amy and Mary entertained me the second half of the evening!! It was a fun night, there weren't as many tamales left over as I would have liked since I'm a pigola, but a good night non the less!

Day 314, December 29th

Since Ryan and I were out all yesterday, we felt bad for Sam (something his father never feels) so we spent the whole day with him!! After a morning of nothing, we headed down to the greenbelt with Sam to play fetch.
We were very disheartened when he just started at the ball for 20 minutes, but finally, he got into the game.  We spent a wonderful afternoon in the sun enjoy the day with Sam!! After our afternoon of fun, Ryan headed to the gym for a bit and Mary came over for a quick evening hangout session.  It was a lovely day to say the least!

Day 313, December 28th

Wednesday, Amy and Heath invited us up north for a day of snowboarding.  This will be my third time snowboarding and I am no better today then I was the first time I tried it.  Ryan tried to teach me the first time we went together, and God love him, but he's not the world's best teacher.  So this time, I decided I would just take a lesson and see if this is something I should even continue to try!!
We got there in the morning and the three of them took off, I felt bad for Amy having to spend all day with the boys, but knew she could handle it.  I spent most of the morning in line waiting to rent my stuff, sign up, all that jazz.
I met back up with everyone for lunch, everyone including Ryan's sister Valerie and niece Sofia who also were up for the day.  After lunch, I ventured off on my own for my lesson.  Of course I got the least skilled snowboard teacher, but after 2 hours, I actually felt like I was doing a little better then I started out.  I actually stopped on my own, which I hadn't done before! It was a fun day, I'd say with friends, but I really was alone for most of the day!! haha
We headed home that evening, spent some time with Sam, headed to Gallagher's for a quick dinner, then relaxed on the couch the rest of the night. Sad to think our week off is half over!

Sunday, April 22, 2012

Day 312, December 27th

On Tuesday, Ryan and I hit the mall to utilize some of the gift cards we got for Christmas, and just to enjoy some of the after Christmas sales.  Fox Restaurant Concept opened a new place, North, which is confusing since there is already a North, but either way, as Fox lovers, Ryan and I had to try it.  We also got a gift card, so that only pushed our decision!
We went late afternoon, got a couple of drinks and enjoyed our Tuesday.  I loved the way North looks, it is all open, and I couldn't help but spend most of the meal watching the guy make pasta next to us! We split a salad, and it was the best salad ever, so yummy and the presenation was even better!!
After an early dinner, we headed home.  Tommy was headed up to Flagstaff for New Year and so we were getting Sam for a few days! We spent the night with our favorite pup and our kiddos!

Day 311, December 26th

Monday, we slowly got back to normal life.  We put some stuff away, cleaned a bit, then headed to Fleetwest so I could take care of some account stuff.  I thought this would be a quick day of work, but due to some computer issues, it actually ate up the whole afternoon!! Rick came into the office and then after I finally finished, Rick went to get my mom, and we all grabbed dinner together.  It was a nice transition day into our wonderful week off from work!

Day 310, December 25th

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Christmas Day has always been crazy in my family.  Those people who go to the movies, or take down the Christmas tree later in the day, I never understood those families.  We basically leave in the morning and don't come home until almost the next day!!

Ryan and I woke up, put on a fire and had our first Christmas of many more together.  We purchased our tv after Thanksgiving and that was our gift to each other, so we put a limit on Christmas this year, and I am proud to say, we stuck to it!!
After we opened presents, we got ready, Ann came over, and we all headed to my mom's house.  We had breakfast, chambord and champagne and opened presents, our usual Christmas tradition.  The only tradition missing was my Christmas nap!
Despite how tired I was, I could not fall asleep!! Disaapointing to say the least! I tried, and failed...oh well, everyone else will suffer listening to me complain all day!!
After my mom's house, we packed up our stuff and headed over to Merrilee and Patrick's for Christmas with my dad's family.
We ate a wonderful meal, opened presents and had a jolly good time as usual.
We left that Christmas celebration, and as my first year not living with Mike and Mary, we decided to continue our Christmas tradition, so we headed over there to finish up the night. Always a wonderful time with my froomies, and the perfect close to a excellent Christmas Day.

It was a great Christmas!! I got a Cooking with Coolio Cookbook, a Dutch Oven, some Pinterest inspired gifts and so much more!!
