Day 258, November 3rd

So Thursday, Jenna came and picked me up bright and early, we got the Uhaul, and headed out to Wet 'n' Wild to set up for the Glendale Walk to Cure Diabetes.  There wasn't a lot of things to actually set up,  but we did have to move every single lawn chair from one end of the wave pool to the other.  Seems simple, let me tell you, it's not!! My legs were so bruised up, people were asking if I did something to upset Ryan!! It took us hours, but we finally moved them all, then we moved to the real set up.  It was a long but fun day setting up for the West Valley Walk Site!
I got home around 6, took a shower, and went to Aunt Chilada's with Ryan.  It was crazy how tired I was.  I had a paper due, and talked to Ryan about just not doing it, but decided I rather get some points then no points.  After dinner, I wrote the paper while Ryan ran to Target.  I can't tell you what that paper said, but I can tell you I got 100% on it!! Good thing I didn't skip doing it!!
I hit the hay at 8:00, and this marked the first night in our marriage we didn't go to bed together! Ryan was all ready to go to bed with me, but I told him not to be crazy, so he stayed up until a normal hour while I slept like a baby!  Walk weekend was officially upon us!

Day 257, November 2nd

Wednesday, Ryan met up with Brian for some Happy Hour and man chatting.  It was cute when he text me at 7:30, arriving home, asking if I grabbed dinner with my mom or something since I wasn't home.  haha, on no Ryan, I am still at work!! Since we were setting up both sites Thursday and Friday, it was the last night in the office, so I was trying to wrap everything up that I could before Saturday.

Day 256, November 1st

It is Walk week, which in our house means I am never around!! When I finally did get home on Tuesday, Ryan made a hearty dinner to ensure I had energy for the week.
Of course the week of Walk would also be the busiest week for school, so when I was home, I was hunkered down in the office working! A boring Tuesday, but also a glorious Tuesday, because it was the last one before Walk Day!!

Day 255, October 31st

Happy Halloween!!
Last year we had zero trick or treaters come to Ryan's place, I was hoping this year would be different.  I worked a little late so came home after the sun had set, and low and behold, Ryan had one little trick or treater already come! This made me hopeful for the rest of the night!!
Ryan is not a fan of scary movies, his one flaw...just kidding!!! But really, he doesn't like them, a few weeks back I wanted to watch Paranormal Activity 2, and he was not having it.  Since it's Halloween, I was able to convince him it was something that had to be watched tonight!! He agreed, not happily.  The movie was not as scary as the first, but that could be because now I know the concept.
We had only one more trick or treater, and it was after 9 p.m., which I thought was irresponsible of her parents, but alas, the little princess got her candy, and did scare the heck out of us since we were submerged in the movie.

Day 254, October 30th

Sunday, we did some stuff around the house, then headed up north to celebrate Treston's birthday.  Treston is an honest kid, so it was mucho pressure to make sure we got him a quality gift.  Luckily, after the party, he said we did a really good job on his present, so we felt very pleased with ourselves!
After the party we headed home to relax after our wild weekend.  It's always so crazy how weekends can become consumed so quickly and then bam, you have to start your work week again!

Day 253, October 29th

Saturday was another day of tailgating for us. And it was Homecoming!! Which is where Ryan and I originally started our love, so it's nice to celebrate once again.
We had a fun time with all of our friends, made some new friends (for the day at least) and cheered on ASU.
It was also Tommy's birthday weekend, so we helped him celebrate his mid 20's well into evening.  Then those crazy cats went off to Halloween it up in Scottsdale, while Ryan and I headed home, which I guess contradicts what I said in my last post, but we can't go out 24 hours in a row! That's insane!!
It was a great day with great people!

Day 252, October 28th

The biggest misconception I'd like to debunk about married couples is that we don't ever do anything!! We still like to do all the same things we did as we were dating, but now that we're married, it seems like everyone has assumed we're boxed up sitting home all the time.  Not true, we will still hang out with you!!
So, Friday night, we headed to Cave Creek to see the Peacemakers play at this little Halloween Bash they were having.  Ryan was so concerned about what we'd dress up as, when I reminded him it was just us, so it didn't really matter all that much!! We decided to raid our closet, and go as Hipsters...which we pulled off very nicely.  Ryan wore my jeans, which was disheartening for me, but at least they are my loose cheap jeans, and not some pair I have trouble squeezing into!
Anyway, the concert wasn't the best Roger show, but we had a fun time, ran into our usual Peacemakers crew, and I even ran into some people I went to school with, so that was exciting.  Nick and Joe also joined us since we were in their neck of the woods, and we had a stellar evening out!

Day 251, October 27th

Thursday, we watched, what I believed to be the final game of the World Series.  I was sure the Texans would win, and I was cheering for them for some reason, which I no longer remember. I actually think Ryan was also cheering for the Texans, which was a shock because we somehow always find ourselves rooting for opposite teams in random games we watch.
Anyway, the Cardinals won the game, but I can't say I paid too much attention since baseball on tv is probably one of the biggest snoozefests in my humble opinion.

Day 250, October 26th

Wednesday, we were sitting on the couch, not doing much of anything, when I asked Ryan how he'd feel about having some Cold Stone? He felt good about it, and headed out to get us a nice treat!!
He rushed home with our sugar fix, and we enjoyed some ice cream on a warm October evening! He almost tripped and fell up the stairs, which is what we captured here!

Day 249, October 25th

I am crazy about traditions! If we do something once, and I really enjoy it, you bet your tush it's going to be a tradition!! With it being our first year as a married couple, I am forcing several traditions on our little home! So of course, with Halloween around the corner, carving pumpkins was a must!
We poured some wine, turned on Halloween music, and got to work.
Ryan is such a traditionalist, and carved is pumpkin sans stencil.  I stenciled out a little scene as I'm not that creative! It was a wonderful first pumpkin carving session, with many more to come!

Day 248, October 24th

I get home before Ryan most days, and I always get the mail.  Ryan is so forgetful about the mail, or he doesn't care, not sure which one. I love getting the mail! I go almost every day! I want our mailman to know I appreciate his work!!
When I picked up the mail today, there was a notice from our HOA about the trash can being out for over a week, so annoying right?! Except it isn't our trash can!!!
Our neighbors are terrible about bringing in their trash can, which is super annoying since we have a one car garage and can handle pulling it in and out when we are supposed to!
Ryan took this photo and emailed it to our HOA and told them, um hey buddy, see the garage it's in front of, well it's theirs, not ours!! This was quite an excitably night for us! Here's to hoping when they get the notice, they'll shape up and put their can away!

Day 247, October 23rd

Sunday morning, we woke up and hit the Arizona State Fair!!!!! I haven't gone to the fair in 3 years I think, which is far too long in my humble opinion!!
Sundays, you get free entry before noon, so that was easy, plus it was wristband day, although that didn't do much for us, as neither one of us like too many of the rides.  We rode the Ferris Wheel, some airplane like thing, and the giant slide, because honestly, that's the coolest thing around!!!
We checked out the cute animals, I tried to convince Ryan we needed a pig and a goat, he disagreed, we ate yummy food, ran into Carrie and Randi, and really had a wonderful day!!
Driving home, we ran into my mom and Rick who were off looking at a home they were interested in, we followed them over to look at it, then looked at a few houses ourselves.  We finally headed home, I got to my homework, while Ryan went to pick up our continued bad nutrition day dinner, Chinese food.  It was a long, hot, but awesome day!! If you don't go to the fair because you think it's ghetto, you should get over that! You're missing out!

Day 246, October 22nd

I woke up Saturday morning, and headed out to a Family Team fundraiser for work.  Spent some time there, and then headed out to a school for a Kids Walk.  It was actually a Pancake Breakfast, and it was so well organized! They did a presentation on diabetes and JDRF, and it was really impressive!!
After "working" in the morning, I headed home to Ryan and the kids.  I took a nice afternoon nap, and then got ready and headed up north.  To continue my day of working, we stopped at a dinner event a Family Team was holding, and then headed up to Ryan's parents for dinner for his Pop's birthday.  They had the annual Hoe Down, and it was a fun time. We had yummy food and a great night! Happy Birthday!!

Day 245, October 21st

Mary and I have a nice little tradition of going to haunted houses each Halloween time.  When I first moved in with Mike and Mary we went one Sunday without Mike, he is too scared, and a tradition began. We have had several fun nights, from Stephanie crying and being chased out of a field, to almost getting in a fight last year, so many memories!
This year we went to the 13th Floor which we heard was oh so scary!  So we waited in line, caught up on life, and then headed in.  There were two different houses, and we were excited.  The production was amazing, but I wouldn't say it was all that scary! It was hot, that's for sure, but I didn't scream all that often!
After the Haunted House we headed to bar to have a drink and chat before we headed home for the night.  It was a fun night with my best!

Day 244, October 20th

Ever since Ryan got the iPhone, he's too cool for about anything. Just jokes.  But he was excited to finally get his tunes on his phone, since he had some issues doing that with his blackberry.  So, as you can see, you checked out for awhile, rocked out, and transferred all those tunes of his.
